Our BA Hons Degree Programme is the first to be chosen by British Police Forces for the officers in their Dog Sections. In 2008, the Ministry of Defence Police also enrolled their dog handlers on our courses

Other Police forces from the UK and worldwide are making enquiries into placing oficers on our programme.

Police Dog Handlers have a wealth of experience when they join us which can be utilised towards their degree programme.

The Principal of the CIDBT is an ex-police dog handler, and states clearly that he would like the BA (hons) degree to be the standard qualification for Police Officers who wish to be expert witnesses in court cases relating to any aspect of dog law.
