Criteria for enrolling on any of our modules

All candidates are required to complete the foundation module CFBA1101 before entering any Level 1,2 or 3 modules.

Exceptions are whereby you have a minimum of six months experience in relative dog behaviour, training or other qualifications. Some of these are listed below as a guide.

Previous academic work (qualifications):

A degree in Animal behaviour, Zoology, Biology, ethology

Previous Qualifications, Experience.

People who have experience working with dogs hands-on in the disciplines below will certainly have a great advantage when it comes to joining our courses and quicken their fundamental canine behaviour knowledge and may allow them to miss out the CFBA1101 Foundation Module. Owning dogs as pets is not accepted as prior knowledge.

• Rescue centre staff
• Canine hydrotherapist

Foundation Occupations in dog training disciplines / knowledge

• Dog Trainer (hobbyist)
• Dog Trainer (Club/school)
• Dog Trainer professional (full time)
• Dog Trainer (Police, Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs)
• Dog Trainer (trials, obedience competitions KC)
