Advanced Practical Dog Training and Behaviour
Phase 1 is delivered as a distance learning
phase. This includes initial work based analysis and research.
You are also required to conduct secondary research via the
internet, library and other sources such as books and journals.
Phase 2 A three day workshop in Cambridgeshire.
A full three day intensive programme focusing on the practical
aspect of dog behaviour and training.
Phase 3
The time period for this distance learning phase is a minimum
of six weeks. It brings together the activities of the
two previous phases. Delegates will be required to relate
the practical experiences and knowledge gained from phase
2 to their initial research, analysis, learning and experiences
from phase 1, contextualising and applying the knowledge gained
to their professional activities
Normal minimum entry qualification: The
normal minimum entry qualification is that the student will
have to meet one of the following three criteria:
1 Successfully completed module number CFBA
1102 Distance Learning an introduction to Canine Care & Behaviour.
2 Have at least six months' experience in their specific
professional field including hands-on experience of a minimum
of handling five dogs in that have suffered any level
of separation anxiety.
3 Other equivalent relevant experience which the candidate
is able to demonstrate pre course relevant knowledge and or
experience.
