P = Practical workshops

The opportunity to work with our expert tutors is one of the aspects of our programmes that candidates say is most valuable. Some candidates may only wish to participate in these sessions and are not seeking a University qualification so it is possible to come along to just the practical elements of some modules at a lower cost than the normal module fee. Many experienced dog trainers dog behaviour practitioners or other persons who work in the canine industry simply wish to learn other new or established methodologies that work.

The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme

The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for instructors in training and canine behaviour is a membership scheme open to anyone working or wishing to work in the area of dog training and canine behaviour. All canine courses CIDBT are accepted towards accreditation within this scheme including P courses.

Workshop

This can be the most serious and exacting problem dog behaviour to assess and handle. The law relating to dogs is ever changing and the public view of dogs who display aggression is becoming increasingly intolerant. Working with these dogs requires extreme skill and a very broad knowledge of canine and human behaviour.

This course is designed to guide you through the complex forms of dog to person aggression and, most importantly, ways to alter this behaviour and reform a dog's view of people. Watch interviews with clients whose dogs display aggression to people.

Lunch and beverages are included throughout this module. The course cost is not inclusive of accommodation, you are however most welcome to book a room on-site at a reduced rate via your tutor or the Conference Centre directly. (more about accommodation click here).
