All workshops attached to the Home Study elements of our courses can be attended as a ‘stand-alone’ course, thereby allowing you to enjoy and learn from the workshop without the academic (written / research) work prior to attendance. After completing the canine workshop you will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. Our courses are designed so that the learners who attend the workshop are not disadvantaged by not completing prior Home Study.
We aim to make the workshop as relaxed, fun, enjoyable and informative as possible. The day will always start with tea, coffee and nibbles; introductions take place at the start of the day closely followed by the agenda of the day/weekend so that everyone can relax about what to expect and can concentrate on learning and enjoying the environment and content. We operate an informal style and your participation is greatly valued, but only if you wish; we do not put pressure on people at all during the workshops as we know that a safe, fun and supported environment is the most conducive to learning.
All workshops will contain lectures, educational films, and informal assessments, and, depending upon the course you’ve enrolled on, handling and working with dogs, interviewing clients, temperament testing and much more.
Our workshops are held at either, The Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, or the Chartridge Conference Centre in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. A buffet lunch is provided as well as refreshments throughout the day.
