| How
it works in brief:
In general, new students will have
to complete the foundation module
1101 Understanding
Canine Care and Behaviour
this teaches a broad and exciting knowledge
of the dog and its relationship with
society.
However, most assistance dog handlers
and trainers can be validated to the
CIDBT's satisfaction may begin the courses
immediately without completing the foundation
module.

to view the modules required for a Certificate,
Diploma or Degree that you wish to attain.
Middlesex University Modules
Once you have completed approximately
one third of the CIDBT modules you can
then arrange to discuss with a Middlesex
University link tutor - Work Based Learning
modules. They will explain how that
works, the registration and accreditation.
Once the mandatory CIDBT & Middlesex
University modules are complete you
will be awarded your qualification.
Your prior knowledge is assessed by
the University and may be used as a
part of the WBS course
modules.

This
graduate degree program is designed to provide
students with the knowledge and ability to understand
and specialise in Dog Behaviour & Training
combined to solve and moreover understand the
problems that pet dogs develop.
The aim is for the student to develop a thorough
knowledge of the gamut of behaviour problems
and then be able to devise practical advice
that the dog owner can implement.

understand the dynamism of family life and how
the domestic dog fits into that environment
and social aspects. To understand what is normal
behaviour and which is abnormal

successful completion of the courses in Canine
